packing

Packing

Three days ago I was packing musk ox meat near Cuggauk the next bay west of the village. The hunter told my dad that the meat was on the other side. The hunter didn’t tell us exactly where the meat was. And, we had to hike over the mountain and across the creek, up the valley and through the meadow. When we got done hiking to the meat and while they were taking off the legs the hunter gave me a M.R.E. As soon as I got it I looked at what kind it was and asked if any body wants to trade? Right away and he asked “Why do you want to trade?”
I said, “We have sloppy Joe at school and I don’t really like the sloppy Joe.”
And he said “Eat it any ways its better than the schools sloppy Joe.”
Later when I got hungry and put the water in the heater and waited for six minutes and started eating.
Then after he asked “How was it?”
I said “it was better then the schools sloppy Joe.”
About an hour later we started putting the meat and the hide in our hiking packs.
